Avendo avuto la fortuna, grazie alla professione di mio padre, di vivere in molti paesi (non visitare da turista), spesso mi si chiede quale paese mi piace di più.
La risposta mi è alquanto difficile da dare.
Innanzi tutto perché in diversi di questi paesi ero bambina/ragazza, posso ricordare avvenimenti ma non posso emettere pareri o giudizi su quel o quell' altro paese.
Personalmente ritengo che un paese non sia quel monumento o quel museo, ma sia l'emozione trasmessa, le sensazioni, la gente.
Quando vivevo a Rio, città attraente sotto tanti punti di vista, avevo 19/20 anni; la libertà di cui godevo, i privileggi e l'agio conseguenti alla posizione di mio padre, ne fanno a mio parere la più bella.

Thanks to my father's profession I have lived - not visited as a tourist - in many countries.
Often one asks me which is the country I prefer.
The answer is rather difficult.
First of all because in several of the countries I lived in, I was a child or a young teenager.
I remember family events, but I certainly cannot express opinions or judgements on this or that country.
Personally I think a country is not that monument or that museum, but the emotions, the sensations they transmit, the people you live with for a certain time.
When I lived in Rio - definitively an attractive city under several points of view - I was 19 /20 years old: the freedom, the privileges and the comforts I enjoyed thanks to my father's position make me consider Rio de Janeiro the nicest city.
