La tegola di Ivana - Ivana's tile

Come dicevo precedentemente ho un' altra amica molto creativa che, oltre ad essere bravissima a trasformare un semplice vaso e qualche fiore reciso in un "quadro" dalle linee e colori perfetti**,  si diletta, e lo fa benissimo, a dipingere dei bei quadri e, quello che ci riguarda adesso, a decorare dei vecchi coppi. Tegola di Sandra contro coppo di Ivana? Non è possibile fare un paragone! E' come mettere a confronto  ostriche e  aragoste! Queste due opere, sono altrettanto belle, ma del tutto diverse. Ivana, pittrice, anzi che dipingere con i colori sulla tela, "dipinge" con materiali vari sul coppo. Le perle di vetro danno colore, profondità e movimento al mare. I sassi decorati trasmettono la stessa emozione che si prova quando si giunge ad uno di questi deliziosi paesini verticali sulla costiera amalfitana. Ritengo che poche, con sassi e perle, abbiano la capacità di dare profondità, luce e "movimento" ad un coppo.

As I said before I have another very creative friend. Not only she is very good at turning a simple vase and some cut flowers into a "picture" with perfect lines and colors**, but she enjoys, and does it very well,  painting beautiful pictures and, what concerns us now, decorating old tiles.Sandra’s tile versus Ivana’s tile? It’s not possible to make a comparison. It’s like comparing oysters and lobsters. These two works are equally beautiful, but quite different. Ivana, being a painter, rather than painting with colors on the canvas, she "paints" with other materials on the tile: the glass beads give color, depth and movement to the sea.   

The decorated stones convey the same emotion you feel when you reach one of these delightful vertical villages on the Amalfi coast. I believe that few, with stones and pearls, have the ability to give depth, light and "movement" to an old tile.
